About the production

Overhead Project participated in this project with a 30-minute choreography with ten dancers under the title "Prequel".

The project "Past forward" develops around Gerhard Bohner's choreography "Fear and Geometry" ("Angst und Geometrie" – world premiere 1990). His late work represents the first generation of German dance theater and will be reconstructed by TANZ Bielefeld. In doing so, the dance heritage and the current contemporary dance scene enter into an artistic dialogue: Four choreographies based on Bohner's work will be developed, forming a coherent and multi-layered dance event at the Stadttheater.
