A ride below the surface of the spectacular; a sweaty bastard of wrestling, circus and dance.
In "Carnival of the body", the acrobat and choreographer duo Tim Behren and Florian Patschovsky deal with the physical reality and external perception of wrestling, one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the USA. Between fairground tradition and million-dollar business, wrestling represents an absurdly fascinating hybrid of sport and show, of athletics and entertainment – a thoroughly choreographed testosterone circus.
